Kelly Michel, MD attended the University of Lafayette where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology in 1988. Dr. Michel then attended medical school at Louisiana State University. He completed his Residency at LSU School of Medicine at Earl K. Long Medical Center, becoming Board Certified in Emergency Medicine. Dr. Michel continued to treat emergency room patients in Louisiana until he relocated to Birmingham Alabama where he was on the forefront of bringing Urgent Care clinics into the state in 2005. He opened the Trussville Urgent Care Location in 2007 where he has remained the Owner/Physician serving the Trussville and Birmingham area. He was pivotal during the Covid outbreak for being willing to look outside the typical thought process of “business as usual” and helped the community with a need that no one else was willing to provide. His leading efforts along with the Trussville Urgent Care staff were unmatched. His continued dedication to the practice allowed Trussville Urgent Care to grow in ways only a locally owned business can.

Shelby Weber, CRNP graduated from the University of Alabama in 2013 with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She then worked at UAB in Surgical Intensive Care for the following 6 years. She attended the University of Alabama at Birmingham to receive her Master of Science in Nursing and graduated in 2019 and became board certified with the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. Shelby joined the urgent care family shortly after graduation and has been with us since! She lives in Birmingham with her husband and two daughters.

Madelaine Lott, CRNP attended the University of Alabama where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in nursing in 2009. From there she worked at Trinity Medical Center in the CVICU specializing in post open heart surgery recovery. Madelaine then attended the University of Alabama in Birmingham to advance her education. She graduated in 2012 with a Family Nurse Practitioner degree and became board certified with the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. Madelaine has been a part of our urgent care family for over a decade. She lives in Birmingham with her husband and three daughters.
